In reading the sneak peek of this book, I was instantly hooked. Just looking at the cover, I was immediately drawn to it as it reminded of my favorite YA book series “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.” This is my first introduction to the author Danielle Valentine, and I am excited to see what YA thrillers she may have in store for the future. I cannot wait to get my hands on a copy of the full story—there’s no way I’ll be able to put it down until I have finished. This seems to be everything I dream about reading all wrapped up into one book. As a horror/thriller movie fan and avid true crime podcast listener, I can relate to Claire’s interests in the scarier things in life. I like stories that keep me on the edge of my seat wanting more and not knowing what to expect next. This book seems like just that. As a young adult who has just recently rediscovered her love for reading, a book has to really hook me in for me to be able to finish it. I know this book is going to have no problem doing that. This seems like it is going to be an awesome read for me.
