I honestly could not put How To Survive Your Murder down. It’s a quick read but also grabs your interest from the very first sentence and refuses to let go. It was maybe a bit heavy on the main character’s horror movie expertise at times, but I could easily look past that. The fact that the murderer had a very popular wolf costume on reminded me of the Scream movies where everyone in that town seems to have the same costume, and Alice, the main character, reliving the day her sister died was a bit like…well, several movies, but How To Survive Your Murder is definitely its own story with some very unique twists. Although I did guess the killer about 3/4 into the book, I wasn’t 100% certain I was right until the big reveal and there were a couple other twists that I didn’t see coming. A perfect book for this time of the year, or any time of the year, really!! Highly recommend!!
