I didn’t enjoy the beginning due to the writing style, but the ending made up for it to me with all the twists. I was a little confused with the timeline and what was happening at times (probably just because the author was trying to misdirect us and lead us to thinking something else), but did enjoy the horror/thriller aspect. The writing was good, but the red herrings were a bit confusing. I did NOT like the last chapter and in some ways feel like that ruined the time travel and didn't quite wrap up the book well and there were some things that needed more explanation. The few chapters before the last one were twisty and fun and I didn't predict who the killer was until the very end!

This would make a great movie and was very similar to many of the classic horror movies I watched as a teen. There were definitely times when my heart raced and I was rooting for the main characters to “run away” from the danger.
