Fun, but a bit receptive

This story was gripping to listen to but also felt like a Halloween version of Groundhog's Day.
Danielle Valentine's writing was easy to follow and allowed you to quickly escape into the world of the characters. The plot was quite promising to be a thriller for a younger audience, and while it delivered it was also a bit repetitive as the main character relived the night her sister was taken from her. I listened to this on audio and while the narration was phenomenal, I think the storyline would have held more value had I read it.
I enjoyed seeing how the main character, Alice, developed throughout the story. She was easy to like and relate to. I would have enjoyed learning more about the perspective of other characters and seeing their development throughout the book as well. Overall, it was enjoyable and I do think I would give it a reread.
