The cover and the style of writing are a great match. It feels like a YA Scream redux in book form. The aspect of the book that was most interesting - sole witness whisked back in time to save her sister - must come later in the book. In movies and books, one of my pet peeves is the opening scene happening and then the book moving slightly back in time. That gimmick and some of the ways the narrator relied on physical archetype to create character makes me think this book is not for me. I can see how this story will be a hit with other readers as it had a clear voice and style and the horror movie theme is fun.
