Valentine starts off How to Survive Your Murder in perfect homage to teen slasher movies of the nineties, with Alice as the final girl. Not covered in the excerpt is Alice's opportunity to go back and save her sister, so I'm really intrigued to see how this twist is incorporated into the story.
