When I reached the end of this First Look, I audibly yelled because I wanted to read on. That's it. That's the review.

Just kidding. The cover is reminiscent of the Good Girl's Guide to Murder cover, which is one of my all time favorite YA thrillers! I was so intrigued by the blood splatter graphics on the page and the chapter heading that doesn't make sense. I can't wait to figure out what it means! The opening scene made me tense up and I couldn't look away from the screen as I read on and tried to piece together how we got here.

Alice seems intense, but authentically herself and fully committed to her podcast, and the way my eyes opened up and I covered my mouth when she's apparently hacked by a chainsaw!! Also, I love any book with a podcasting element, I always think it's so interesting and adds another element to the book.

This sneak peek made me LONG for Halloween (only 116 more days). I'm very intrigued and can already tell this book is going to be gory, but still compulsively readable. One critique I have is it felt VERY heavy on the movie references, and they just went over my head.
