This was a fun and adventurous middle grade read. Giada is a funny young girl who wants to blaze her own trail by healing animals with her familial magic. The writing style was great for young readers and the storyline was intriguing. I am not the target audience for this read, but I really enjoyed the story. Filled with adventure, magic, fantastical creatures, family drama, and great characters! The world building was great, I felt like I was right next to Giada as she races to save her brother. The cover really caught my attention with this one, really the only reason I opened it - the title didn't really resonate with me until I read the story but now I couldn't imagine another title!
