This was my first time reading a book by Robin so i wasnt sure what to expect. Essentially i wasnt sure if i'd like this one or not but surprisingly i did espeically since i didnt know that Key West Florida and Havan Cuba were involved in The Civil War back then.
The Characters were interesting to read about. Navy Lieutenant Everett Townsend was my favorite by far and i really felt for him after he learned about his family's history with Slavery i can only imagine how he was feeling when he found out about their involvment in it.
The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in 1860s Key West Florida and Havana Cuba.
Overall a Good Civil War Based Historical Fiction Novel!! Can't wait to read more by Robin Lloyd in the future!!
