I had to DNF this book which is a shame. I really wanted to like this book and was very much looking forward to it however I simply could not get in to the book which really is a shame because I do usually find that I enjoy historical fiction and so I was just extremely let down by this book and the way it was written, from the way the characters were portrayed, to the pace of the story.
All in all it has the potential to be a good book for someone other than me but obviously it just did not pique my interests enough to continue on with the story. I really truly did want to like this so hopefully the next time I pick up historical fiction I’ll enjoy it.
That being said I am unfortunately rating two stars because it did have the makings for a good book with what I had read but it just was not enough for me to actually be able to continue on past the first couple chapters to finish the book.
