I was so very excited to find out that I had won this book and I was eagerly awaiting its arrival in the mail. Adding to my anticipation was our mail being held for several days because of road repairs that did not allow for any deliveries at all. I could have driven to the post office but it is hard to get to here in the country. As soon as it arrived I began reading and while I totally liked the central characters they were not as well developed as they should have been. The interaction between them left me feeling like something was missing. More background perhaps or maybe even some true insights into their feelings? Not really sure I can pinpoint what it was but it truly felt off. The storyline seemed to hold promise at several points in the novel but then disintegrated into a schematic form that seemed too familiar to other better written novels.
