I wasn't sure I even wanted to give this a chance to read even the first 3 chapters. However I have been trying to push myself to read new things, and I have to say, I'm not disappointed so far. I have never really been into what I call nautical reads, I.E books revolving around see fairing or activities, however from the first step on the page it's more about the protag. Giving you just enough hook to wonder what's going on, who these people are, and what this soldier is doing basically delivering groceries to a prison. Refreshing to have a book that talks about Tortuga in any way that isn't all about the pirate. I think I could get into reading this book.
