I love how this book takes a difficult topic-- human trafficking-- and shows the readers that this is not a "new" problem. It was just called something else in the past. This book links past to present, and I loved the writing style and the content. The book hooked me immediately, and I would love to see where the story goes. Human trafficking is a horrible modern (and past!) problem, that does not get addressed enough in current fiction.
