This book really looks fresh and intriguing - it's not your overused WWII plot. I like that it's set in the Civil War era and looks at slavery. I feel like there are so many points in time with fascinating stories to tell and everyone just keeps recycling WWII. I just wish the cover were a bit more interesting. It just looks like a boring book to me.
