It's crazy how COVID feels like a totally different lifetime, but was also just a few years ago. The characters in this book were (mostly) likeable, and I thought the banter throughout the book was cute. It was a little heavy on the drama for me, but I understand it wanted to really highlight the struggles of the pandemic, relationships that took a tool, mental health, death, and various other difficult topics. I feel like the theme was really centered around the struggles during the pandemic more than a true drama or love story, bit it gave into the message that you're not alone, even in very dark/ uncertain times. I think it was a little too YA for my taste, but would be appreciated more by the right reader.

I think the best quote was: "Maybe it's not that if you work hard you always get ahead, it's just that if you don't give up, don't give in, then things still have the chance of working out some way or another. Maybe you just have to still be hanging around when luck shows up"
