This was a great little love story that takes place near the beginning of the COVID pandemic. The two teens in the story are learning how to survive during the quarantine. One has to deliver groceries to help her family survive, the other is stuck inside because of his sister’s medical condition. They meet by chance “fighting” over toilet paper and eventually become friends. They struggle with the difficulties of being friends during a pandemic and they also are on a mission to bring two old friends back together from long ago.
The story does a great job portraying what it was like during the height of the pandemic. What it was like to live in isolation and how alone people felt. The author did a great job illustrating how hard it was for young adults who crave companionship to stay away from each other when they know it is the best thing for their families.
