When first seeing this book, I paused my scrolling because I really liked the cover. Then, when I saw the characters were wearing masks and read the synopsis, I was intrigued.
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I saw that this took place at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic but, so far, I find it to be a cute YA read. After reading the content warnings prior to the first chapter, I’m a little apprehensive about where this story is going and am a little worried that it’s going to be triggering. However, I am totally willing to give it a chance because I’m thoroughly enjoying the banter between Max and Jonah so far!
