Sometimes we need escapism, other times we just need rose colored glasses

I was nervous about a novel set in our current, not so happy, situation. We usually turn to books for an escape. To not focus on how depressing and scary life is. To completely ignore 2020 in its entirely.But, the honesty, and realatability of these characters make me believe I too can find happiness in these dark looming clouds of life. Their anxieties and stresses that fit mine paired with their awkward struggles to find a sense of normalcy in the abnormal is charming and inspiring.
