As the cover is the first thing one typically sees, it often determines if I am going to click to know more. This cover is pleasing and looks like something my students would pick up. Then, reading the first look, I think it is something that will hook readers and keep them going. The first page is talking about condoms, and Max's snark and internal monologue is intriguing and relatable in my opinion. Also, the topic is so relevant and relatable to teens. For many of them (and for us adults too), this pandemic is the biggest thing that has happened in their life. It has brought more change and uncertainty to their lives and turned how they their teen years would play out completely upside down. This is the first book I have seen covering the topic, and I think even in future years, it will still be an attractive topic for teens. I myself plan to read it also.
