There was a content warning on this and I’ve also read on reviews that this book is heavy. I appreciate the author noting that at the very beginning so you know what you’re getting into. Honestly, even reading something focusing on the pandemic while we aren’t yet clear of it is going to be hard for some. But I wanted to read a bit of the excerpt anyway. I liked it. I like Max and Jonah. They have a meet cute over a roll of toilet paper right as the pandemic begins. I like their interaction. I think that I would enjoy this story. But because it sounds heavy too and I’m not always in the mood for heavy, I’m going to leave it to fate and see if I win this one :)
