I think this is a really interesting idea, but I’m not sure about the timing — i.e. publishing a YA romance on COVID-19, during COVID-19. I kinda feel about this book the way I feel about giving a book about grief to a teen undergoing grief (my view: don’t. Give them something they can escape into instead). I’m intrigued enough about this that I want to read on, but I think a lot of how I feel about the book will depend on the ending — Covid-19 is ongoing, so can a romance have a “happily ever after” during an ongoing pandemic? I’m not sure. Love the cover, though!
