The book opens up with a familiar scene from the last year; the main characters, Max and Jonah, are fighting for the last rolls of toilet paper from the grocery store. I like that the characters are going through familiar experiences and that it seems like the book will venture more into deeper topics like anxiety that so many of us experienced during the pandemic.
