I was sent this book as an ebook despite asking for a physical copy so I admit I went into it with a bit of an annoyed mood. But as I read the book I liked it somewhat. It does deal with some heavy topics so I think it's important to know that going in.
I think the book did a good job in addressing the difference of life for people who are white and black in Zimbabwe. Considering that I only recently found out that Zimbabwe had apartheid as well I felt like I had a better understanding of the society after reading this book.
I enjoy reading books about different countries and societies, especially ones that I know very little about. This book does a good job of showing you society with a story that is also interesting, twisty, and suspenseful. The only thing I wish they did differently was mark each chapter with who was telling the story so it would be easier to keep track of whose telling the narrative.
