I would say that this is a good read overall.

What I liked most about this book was the setting. I was very excited to pick this book up from the moment I heard it would be taking place in Zimbabwe. And I think on that front, it delivered, as I felt like I was actually in Zimbabwe whilst reading this.

I also liked the broken family element of the story, even if it came with some tough situations. There were a lot of dark topics displayed in the book, but I appreciated that honesty, featuring a side of Zimbabwe that isn't necessarily scene by many people who don't live there.

One of my favorite things about stories is the dialogue (more generally, character interactions). So while I liked that this book was so dialogue heavy, it was a bit difficult at times to discern which character was talking. There were also a lot of different voices that were portrayed, and thus I was lost at times.
