I won this book and was expecting a printed copy; later to hear that all printed copies were given out already. Because it was a book of short stories I like to carry the book with me to appointments or short visits and finish the story. I like books that give perspectives on different cultures and the challenges as well as the strength of individuals to overcome those challenges and succeed in life. The stories were interesting but some of the struggles of the Zimbabwe community were difficult to read. The author gives us characters dialogue and an understanding of experiences related to government policies, corruption and exploitation. There is no doubt that you will understand the privilege of white and blacks in this story. The voices of the characters will pull you in to this story and keep you reading to understand their paths.
