I Felt As If I Were Experiencing the Story Firsthand

Although I've traveled throughout Africa, I have not been to Zimbabwe, and so I did a search for Harare and scrolled through social media for this city. It helped me to visualize the setting as I read the opening pages with a family's disturbing murder of another family member as the plot basis. Clearly the Caucasian family had some serious issues, yet at the same time I could not imagine a judge saying he simply was not ready to make a decision; thus sending the mother and son back to prison indefinitely - with nothing resolved after all the time that had passed. This book seems like it will be quite a detailed novel.
As for the cover design: When the sample pages opened, I loved the colorful red, gold, green, and black design. It seems so much more appealing than the yellow and black design representing the book.
