Good setup and setting

In Harare Voices and Beyond we meet Rhyse, a white Zimbabwean, and his mother Doris who are inprisoned for a crime they presumably did not commit. The exerpt provided for First Impressions lays out a well-written and paced story with sympathetic characters, and unique setting. It left me wondering what is going to happen to this likeable mother and son.
