There's some intrigue to be had here with the murder trial and how this family fell apart. However, the writing style was rough and came off as sort of unnatural at times. This made it difficult for me to get into the story. Also, there wasn't a clear focus in these chapters, the verdict of the trial is put off, there are only casual mentions of what went down and how the characters are dealing with it, then it jumps to focus on another character's sexual fantasies. It's not cohesive.
