Courtroom drama in an unfamiliar setting

The opening of this drops you right into the trial of the main character and his mother, although their crime is not revealed until the next chapter. So far this book provides interesting commentary on the legal and prison system of Zimbabwe through Rhys’s experience as a minority in that country. As someone who is completely new to this setting, would love to read more! The cover is beautiful but I fail to see it’s connection to the contents.
