I was a little confused by book write up and the first impression only added to that confusion. I don’t get a good feel about what this book is about. That being said, I really like the writing and the writing style. I am also very intrigued about how the prison sentence and stay will turn out for Rhys and his mother and what role Marina will play. Although not my normal genre, it seems very exciting and includes new information I never knew about (the white population of Zimbabwe). There were a few sexually graphic parts that didn’t quite fit with the first impression flow. I’m not sure what to make of this, but it has all the makings of a great book and I feel like this will be a very good book! I really liked the inside cover.
