Dr. Albers created a simple program to help curb those “hanger” (hungry and angry) events we’ve all experienced. Not only does she address many issues and situations that often lead to hanger, but she reminds readers how hanger events can negatively affect relationships and performance. It is worth the time it takes to work through this book and consider your existing habit patterns.

While guiding readers through pattern assessment, Albers also includes strategies for making positive changes to turn “Hangry to Happy” in numerous situations. Overall, I felt that the delivery was a little dry, but the content was insightful. This book is worth the read if you’re aware that the way you fuel your body affects your mood and behaviors, but are looking for tips to make positive changes.
