This book tells the story of a Brooklyn neighborhood and the people who live within this neighborhood. It tells of their background, how they live their lives, what the history of the neighborhood means to them and why they love living where and how they live. This is about a culture within a city and the people who live their. It fascinated me and kept me reading because it is so different from where I live in the west. Everything from who lives there, the accents, what people do to work and how they play and what family means and how they pass on traditions. It tells a story of people which we need right now when there is so much division and separation from each other. Can we still maintain these communities within communities. This story tells how they were built and why they still exist today. This book is a joy to read and It kept me engaged.
