This memoir was like nothing I've ever read before. I have been to New York quite a lot and have a lot of family there and it still felt like stepping into an entirely new world.
The timeliness the book goes through is a very action packed time making the authors story more interesting and driven.
The writing was absolutely incredible it felt more as if a friend was telling me a story than I was reading a book.
I loved reading about the author and her wild group of friends and feel like this is a book that so many people would love and enjoy.
The author has very clearly lived an amazing life from just the stories told in this book. After reading Growing Up Backstreet I hope to read more works from this author, especially in the form of memoirs!
