Memoirs are my favorite genre, but I'm not sure if this one is for me. I like some of the scenes where Florio describes her childhood, but I find the writing a bit dry, and I'm also not sure of the "hook" here in which she writes a memoir of an entire neighborhood, rather than just her own life and experiences.
