Looking forward to reading the whole book

One of the first things that captured my attention was the cover of Growing Up Bank Street; both the picture and the title. They conjured all sorts of questions and the preview did not disappoint. In fact, having read the selection, my curiosity was roused. This is the kind of book I love the most - a well written memoir by a regular person who just happened to have an extra interesting life. The author, while not a celebrity, has led at least part of her life on the stage. Her life experience is completely different from mine but she has such a nice turn of phrase, such a way of sharing what has made her "her" that I felt I was right there with her. It sounds like a wonderful building to have grown up in and I'm glad she had those wonderful neighbors surrounding and supporting her. I think Growing Up Bank Street is a can't miss/don't miss read! I can't wait to finish it!
