I was immediately turned off by the long-windedness of the sentences and paragraphs. I felt as if the words were droning into a background hum and I just couldn't concentrate on them. I'm sure people who usually read this genre will be able to get into it more but I just know that it's not for me. I also don't like the cover at all. It definitely doesn't make me want to read it.
