This was an adorable fun read. My inner teen may have developed a slight crush on Hudson. He's been told that he "Going places" his entire life. Its been a while since I've read a YA book told by boy's point of view. I actually really enjoyed it. He wasn't a cocky arrogant narrator. He was a breath of fresh air.
I loved how Hudson decided that his senior year was going to be done his way. He decides to go the home school route and focus instead on his businesses. He has a dog walking business (there is a dog that is the HIGHLIGHT of the story for me! Seriously, this dog needs its own story!) and his other business is helping take care of elderly.
I have to go back to the point that this is told by a Male YA's POV and its written by a female. I've read books where the lead is a female and its written by a male and it never works, this one just worked!
Just a great coming of age story!
