After reading the little sample of this book, I am very intrigued. So far, Hudson, the main character, is very likeable, and it's always a good thing when you like the main character in a book. The first few pages, where he has written a proposal to be homeschooled and has e-mailed it to his mother, I really relate to that. In the 11th grade, I wrote my mother a similar request to be homeschooled, but in my case it was due to anxiety. Anyway, because of that, I was hooked from the first page. I think the plot is an interesting one and there are some important themes in this book, with grief and how to deal with it being a big one. I think books featuring teens that are homeschooled are relatable to me because I've experienced it myself. It looks like both a heartwarming and heart wrenching book, and I've just added it to my TBR list.
