I was looking forward to learning about Hudson and his young adult challenges but there was so much more to this book. The interaction between Hudson, his contemporaries and his clients were well written. I like how the author wove in the difficulties our elderly face with independence, keeping safe in their own homes and the struggles to maintain social interactions. Then the author factored in the challenges military service members and their families deal with from the ones who don't return to those who come back broken. Hudson's growth from a teenager just wanting to get through his senior year to an adult with a positive outlook on his future was well done. I can seen the possibility for a sequel with Hudson and Fritzy....hint, hint.
