The cover of the book looks very upbeat and happy, which grabbed my attention. After reading the description and the first look, it doesn't appear that it will be a very happy book. I've never really read anything concerning a character with a parent dead from war and I think it could make for a really great book if it's gone about in the right way. I'll be interested to see how the author writes about it.
