I grew up with three younger brothers so I don't think I need to read a book that tells me more about their prospective, however, Hudson could be an interesting character in other ways. He's very ambitious for a high schooler but in a different way than getting good grades and being a sports star. He's trying to make money and find more time to work on his art, which he hopes to make a career. There are many times I have wished I took my life in a direction like that so I didn't have to deal with more school and especially the immense debt. Hudson's mom sounds like she will be an interesting character, especially considering you don't really "meet" her in the first chapter.
