The cover and title were interesting, but the description really drew me in. I felt like I really wanted to meet this teenage boy who takes his education into his own hands, and reading this first little bit was enjoyable. I think the first chapter maybe throws you in a little fast, but it also showed me a lot about the main character in a short amount of time. It also doesn't feel like every other male-narrated YA book, but shows a realistic teenage boy, who has learned to be mature and responsible and independent, but is also sometimes still a kid. I look forward to seeing where the story goes from here.
