A male perspective for a YA book does not happen often, so I found this novel to be refreshing thus far. Hudson Wheeler seems like a good guy, willing to do what it takes to follow the path he has laid out for himself. He seems strong as a main character and I have the impression that his story will be an interesting one. Although the cover art really did not draw me in, I am glad that I decided to read the excerpt for Going Places. I would purchase this book and would encourage other readers.
