He is going places, just not on the traditional path
This already has me hooked. Hudson is a interesting character with a different view of what high school could look like. He does seem to be self isolating but only from those his own age. He also is full of brilliant ideas and seems capable of carrying them out. Hudson is an old soul.
I look forward to reading the rest of his story.
(A side note, the book description says that his dad died a year after his parents receive the "Going Places" letter but in the first chapter it says that his dad never even read the letter because he died a month later.)
