I really enjoyed this one. The story is extremely readable, interesting, and easy to get absorbed in. It didn't take me long to become invested in the story and the characters.
While the dialogue started out difficult for me to parse, it feels much more real than what you normally get in a book like this. I imagine the reality is that we couldn't expect somebody to wake up in the future and everybody to speak the same form of English as the time and place they left. When the author plainly acknowledged that in the text, I knew this was going to be a good and thoughtfully-written read. In fact, I think it's much easier to buy into the story because of it. It's believable even if the storyline is fantasy.
