The goddess in the machine is a YA Sci-Fi. The main character Andra went into cryo-sleep while her and her family travel to another world. When she wakes up she is alone, and to her shock 1000 years have passed. Even more to her shock the people she encounters claim she is a goddess.
This book took off from the first sentence, completely holding my attention. The shock of waking up 1000 years later than expected definitely makes for an interesting story, and capturing Andra’s panic and uncertainty was done well. I loved the way they show the evolution of language, making it almost nonsensical, and largely full of slang. This was such an interesting read, I rushed through it eager to find out what would happen next.
