What an opening! I was absolutely hooked from the first sentence, reading hungrily through the first chapter.

Immediately, you are sucked into Andromeda's head as she wakes 100 years in the future on a new planet, Holymyth, alone and confused. The descriptive writing makes you physically feel her claustrophobia as she struggles to break free from her chamber, which should have automatically opened to a sterile hospital headed by her scientist mother. Instead, she awakens alone in a dirty hut, until a young man named Zhade, greets her. He tells her he has been searching for her for four years. When she leaves the hut, dozens of citizens, all speaking unfamiliar words and wearing strange outfits praise her as "Goddess." She did not wake up 100 years later. She woke up 1,000 years later.

I cannot wait to continue reading this book!
