Unfortunately, though I was very excited for this book, I simply could not get into it. I feel like the overall concept was great, it was just that personally, I could not get into the style of dialogue. I tend to have trouble reading books where the author tries to write out the accent or strange speaking style that characters may have. I can typically look over this if it is a side character, but when it's the main character, it bothers me. :( This is through no fault of the author at all, it's just a personal thing. That being said, I do appreciate that this author took the time to think about what the "English" language would sound like that far in the future. I have not seen or read many books that take that into consideration. Hopefully, at some point, I can go back to this book when I have more time to sit and really focus/take in the new manner of communication in this book.
