I was excited to be a unique science fiction debut but this was more than I hoped for. It starts off as space opera young adult novel. The story is told from the viewpoint from Andromeda and Zhade. Both viewpoints are unique and compelling. What I didn’t expect is that there would be mysteries entwined in this science fiction story. Reading it kept me guessing what might happen next. There is a romance between Andra and Zhade that was done well and built upon slowly. Andra cannot rely completely on Zhade as he is keeping many secrets. My favorite parts were the way language was used in this story, as well as the mystery of what would be required to save the planet. I have so many questions still after the ending but am comfortable with where the author ended the story.
