This is the book of my language-loving heart. Each chapter begins with the etymology and various definitions of a word that help set the tone for the chapter. And it is fascinating to see how Johnson has evolved the English language to show the passage of time in the story. Andra and Zhade are compelling narrators,and I cannot wait to find out more about what happened to the rest of the colonists and the technology that has become mythological.
